A local Realtor can easily check the tax records for the name and mailing address of a property, the phone # might be a little harder to come by. Sometimes online reverse directories will have the information.
I would be happy to give you any information I can if you want to contact me by cell at 886-1261 or email summer.k.knight@gmail.com.... more

I always go the the register of deeds and look up the builder then proceed from there. If the builder is a large one they will have floor plans on their website. Ask your REALTOR if he or she might be able ro help you. If not I would be more than bappy to research that for you. Good luck. :)... more

Have the builder buy the lot and furnish the construction loan, if they are not strong enough to do that you don’t want them to build your house anyway. Good luck.

Hi Tiffany,
I can recommend a company that can help you with the process (especially the surveying) - Silicon Valley Land Surveying. First it would be a good idea to call the Cupertino planning commission and let them know your address or parcel number to see if you can do it, to see if you need to dedicate part of the lot for sidewalks (in some areas), etc. Then it would be a good idea to ask them what size of a home you could build on that split lot, then call an agent to do a market analysis on a home of that average sq. footage for that neighborhood, and find out how much it would cost to build from a few builders to see what you would net, to see if the timing is right for a split.
All the best,

HUD is very good at paying out selling agent/buying agent commissions. The first 10 days a home is on the market it is usually offered only to first time buyers and then after that to investors. A HUD can be a good investment depending on the condition. Many times there is special financing for repairs or even a repair escrow. I like your questions, it is not often clients are concerned about their agent getting compensated. Your agent is lucky to have you as a client. Good luck to you.... more
I suggest that you go to the Board of Realtors in your area and start networking with them. Arlington Board of Realtors has a wonderful opportunity every week on Friday Morning from 8:30-9:30 called Coffee with the Chairman. It is an opportunity to meet realtors and other vendors. They also have occasional speakers that give our great information.... more
Check with the local buildings department for any necessary permits; also see link below for helpful information. Since costs do vary consider acquiring free estimates from local licensed contractors...
