Parking is not normally an issue in the Village of Floral Park. Overnight parking between 3am and 5am is not permitted. This is not uncommon for the surrounding communities of Bellerose Village, Garden City, Stewart Manor and the Village of New Hyde Park.
If you need to have an overnight guest and they cannot park in your driveway, the Floral Park Police office will give you a pass for your guest.

Queen Village is not an actual Village just the name of the town. It is located in Queens County just next to Bellerose. As for Floral Park Village it is actually an Incorporated Village located in Nassau. Floral Park is divided into a few sections Queens, and then a few sections in Nassau County (please contact me for further clarification). Taxes in Queens Village are anywhere between 1500-3500 and in Floral Park Village taxes including general, school and village tax can range between 8,500-15,000 or even higher on some of the very large homes.
Living in the Village of Floral Park certainly has its perks and depending on your budget and needs it may be something that you would see a great value in. Living in a Village brings more then just higher taxes it brings Village Ordinances, as well as Village Police force, garbage removal and snow removal, street sweeping, etc.

Thanks. I just saw the appraisal report. They used 5 comps that were across rail road tracks. In the same town but houses priced lower than in my area. 2 of the houses have railroad tracks next to their backyard and 1 house is 1 block from the train station where there is a commuer parking lot. I would never live in or next to any of these houses. I wrote a letter to appraiser and included 6 other very similar comps all sold within last 6 months and even closer to my house. Asked him for a FAIR appraisal. My mortgage guy has also done the same. If he still comes back with same price. Can I ask for a second appraisal or put a compaint in against this appraiser? He is totally unfamiliar with area and because of this the appraisal is way off.... more
