It really depends on alot of things. It depends on who the builder is, what the lot is going to cost you that your going to build on and if the home is going to be a custom built or a spec home.
There are other reasons that come into play but first you have to figure out what features you want in a home your going to get built. I would love to educate you more on the subject. It can seem complicated at first but it really isn't that bad. I've had 2 houses built in the last 6 months for clients. We figured out what they wanted before we moved forward with talking to builders and looking at lots.
It's a good thing to know the process and what you can expect before getting in to deep. I don't always recommend talking to a builder first just because theirs builder's that specialize in different things and if your wanting to build something custom then their are builders that specialize in that v.s a builder that only builds spec homes.
